My family is from New Orleans, I love this place! The poboys are delicious, the jambalaya hits the spots, and normally I'm not a Mac and cheese person but theirs is SO GOOD! Additionally, you can buy all the great spices, hot sauces, and seasonings that are impossible to find otherwise! I have now convinced my coworkers to add it to our rotation of places to eat!

Not me realizing I only took one photo while I was there. Lol oh well. This spot has been on my list of wanting to try since 2021 (big Triple D fan). As an out to towner this spot isn't in the best of areas. But the food was very good! And the vibes were there. The girl who took our order was very nice. We ordered some things to share. Shrimp po boy was pretty good, the sauce and slaw cut the richness. Love the crawfish and cheese. I'd say that is a MUST get. Mozzarella sticks were good as well, and this is from a mozzarella stick expert. Overall it I'm in the area I would definitely go back.

Came here as a part of the second stop on our LA food crawl for the day after stopping by Philippe's down the street. My friend ordered the Crawmac deluxe which came out to be ~$18.50 with tax. The crawmac had some sort of tomato sauce mixed into the base and was topped with andouille sausage and snappy shrimp. The taste of the crawmac was delightful and when topped with some of the different varieties of hot sauces that they have on the tables throughout the business, created a phenomenal experience. Pro Tip: Check out their store on the left side of the business, they have a wide variety of different hot sauces and I was able to grab a bottle of Marie Sharp's to try for just $5.50.

This is a late post, trying to catch up on my reviews. Was in LA in June and had many food adventures. This little gem was not what I expected...but it definitely delivered. I was hungry and ordered the fried catfish platter, was a lot of food, and very good. Normally don't do a lot of fried food however catfish is my favorite! There were a lot of po' boy choices, not a fan but my friend had one and said it was delicious. Will definitely keep this on my list of places to revisit next time I am in town!

Unassuming hole in the wall next to a liquor store in Chinatown. It's a DTLA staple. I always get the crescent city fried shrimp po'boy with all of the fixings. The pickles and lettuce perfectly balancing the fried shrimp. The bread fluffy. Always hits the spot. They have all sorts of drinks. They also have house made sausage that I've always been meaning to try. Shaggy provided the best service, very patient with the order. Sandwiches came out pretty quickly but still fresh. They serve an eclectic clientele, hipsters with mustaches to tough looking guys. They have lots of space inside and four tables outside.

My sister was in the area and asked if I wanted anything. I've always wanted to try the half and half po boy, half oysters and half shrimp. For $17.99 this sandwich was huge and definitely can feed 2 easily. Bread was fluffy and grilled. There was a few pieces of shredded lettuce and diced red onions with a layer of mayo. The po boy was packed with deep fried shrimp and oysters. Very flavorful and starchy with each bite. All in all, the sandwich was filling and satisfying but I wish there was more veggies, including tomatoes.
